Vehicles Take Center Stage in Cyberpunk 2077’s Latest Update
New ways to drive and new ways to not drive!
Despite saying they were done with the game a few updates ago, CD Projekt Red has delivered yet another update to their sci-fi RPG Cyberpunk 2077. This one focuses on the vehicles of Night City and will be available to download this week.
Firstly, the update adds four new vehicles: the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru, a new variant of the Rayfield Caliburn called "Mordred," the Yaiba ASM-R250 Muramasa, and the Chevillon Legatus 450 Aquila. These vehicles are included in the CrystalCoat customization system added in a previous update, which will now have even more options than before.
Since you’re going to be spending a lot more time behind the wheel of these new transportation options, the developers have added “AutoDrive,” which is a toggleable feature that will have your car autonomously navigate you to your mission objective or custom map marker. If you don’t have a set destination, the system will drive you around Night City at random to take in the views. Speaking of views, AutoDrive also comes with an optional cinematic camera so you can get some dynamic angles as you ride in style.
If that’s not your style, the update also unlocks the ability to order the Delemain cabs to shuttle you to your desired destination after you complete their corresponding quest titled “Don't Lose Your Mind” regardless of how you choose to resolve that mission.
Finally, the update adds several new changes to photo mode, including new NPCs to join your selfies along with weather and lighting options, as well as quality of life improvements and bug fixes.
You can check out the entire list of patch notes here, and be sure to update your game when it launches tomorrow, July 17th. Will you be jumping back into Night City to check out the latest update? Let us know in the comments below!
