After getting horses this summer in the Horse Ranch Expansion Pack, The Sims 4 players will be able to take on a different responsibility in the upcoming expansion For Rent, coming out on December 7th.
You’ll find a new city, Tomarang, in the new expansion, inspired by the cities and people of Southeast Asia. To accurately reflect the culture, the team collaborated with Jason Chu, an Asian-American rapper and activist with deep familial roots in the area.
Highly requested apartments and other rentals come to the game in For Rent, and not only in Tomarang. Multi-unit dwellings are coming to any liveable Sims 4 world. Potluck and pool parties will give those in your communities opportunities to socialize and bond.
You’ll want to be an attentive landlord; your tenants will revolt if your rating dips too low. Landlords will potentially have to deal with unruly tenants, power outages, and even mold that looks to do some weird things. (Check out the trailer!)
Tomarang will come alive with a park for child Sims to play in, botanical gardens, an animal sanctuary, and the Spirit House. Sims can head to the Night Market and get inspired to cook dishes like Khao Niao Mamuang, Tofu Pad Thai, Pancit Bihon, Burmese Samosa Soup, and Banh Cuon.
Four new Aspirations, five Traits, and a new Fear are coming to the game with For Rent. Tenants can fear eviction, Sims can be Nosy, Generous, Cringe, a Child of the Village and Wise, and Sims can aspire to be a Seeker of Secrets, a Five-Star Property Owner, the Fount of Tomarani Knowledge, or a Discerning Dweller.
Those who purchase the expansion from now until January 18th will have access to the Street Eats Digital Content, which includes a grill cart, street umbrella, and fruit basket.
The For Rent Expansion is priced at $39.99 and will be available wherever you can play The Sims 4. Are you excited to visit Tomarang and be a top-rated landlord? Let us know in the comments.
