The Final Patch for Baldur’s Gate 3 Arrives Next Week
Ready for Photo Mode and a whole host of subclasses?
The long awaited final update from Larian Studios for their 2023 game of the year Baldur’s Gate 3 finally has a release date: April 15th, 2025.
Originally announced late last year, the update promises several features that players have been eager to get their hands on. In addition to a host of bug fixes and quality of life improvements, Patch 8 boasts twelve new subclasses, one for each class in the game. These include the College of Glamour Bard, the Path of the Giant Barbarian, the Death Domain Cleric, the Circle of Stars Druid, the Arcane Archer Fighter, the Way of the Drunken Master Monk, the Oath of the Crown Paladin, the Swarmkeeper Ranger, the Swashbuckler Rogue, the Shadow Magic Sorcerer, the Hexblade Warlock, and the Bladesinger Wizard. A robust photo mode will also be included, which will allow the player to snap candids as well as pose their favorite characters however they wish.
Larian’s detailed roleplaying game has won many accolades, including Game of the Year at the Game Awards, and this update will be the final one to the game as they move on to other properties. The studio has confirmed in the past that they will not be returning to Faerûn for any further expansions or sequels to Baldur’s Gate 3, returning the IP to Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast.
