It’s HOW LONG until Christmas? *Furiously checks calendar*
If you’ve been procrastinating, and there’s a gamer, self-professed nerd, or technology lover on your gift list, we’ve got some ideas to make your shopping a little easier. (Don’t have anyone like that on your list? Treat yourself, friend. You deserve a gift too.)
Editorial note: We don’t make money from this stuff, but if you get something to give to yourself or someone else, we’d love to hear about it! (Also: being that it’s December 14th, you may have to pay extra shipping to get it to your intended by Christmas.)
The Witcher Adult Coloring Book
Has 2023 been stressful for you or the person on your list? Are they lamenting the loss of Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia or can’t wait for the next Witcher video game? Give them (or you) the opportunity to color and chill. I would suggest this Witcher lofi Spotify playlist as well. -Amanda
Videogames World Map by Edison Yan
This map is awesome. (Zoom in and get the details!) Featuring almost 100 points and locations from different video games (Shambala, New Vegas, Yoshi’s Island, and Rapture among others), this work from Edison Yan also supports a good cause when you purchase it - 10% of proceeds go to support the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences Foundation Scholarships. (Did I buy one for myself? Yes, yes I did.) -Amanda
Hi-Fi Rush 808 Plush
It’s a plush of the best musical robot cat-companion of the year (an award I made up but is totally legit). Unfortunately, she doesn’t come in ball form, but we can hope Bethesda takes note of our demand for more 808 merch when you layer your house with multiple of these adorable (and hypoallergenic) kitties. Nature may not want me to love cats but THAT WON’T STOP ME. - Nic
Elder Scrolls Skyrim Quest Marker Tin Sign
Need to get things done? Just slap this baby on whatever door/entryway/portal/etc. that leads there! Seeing it makes me a little anxious, especially since there’s nothing like those infinitely repeatable quests, but I guess that’s just actual life in general, eh? Robin has already bought at least one of these, I’m sure. - Nic
Street Fighter Juri Han Statue
Who among us isn’t attracted to vaguely threatening women who could destroy us with a single attack? I know I am and while I am not the biggest fan of fighting games, I do have a soft spot for certain franchises. This statue of Juri, from Street Fighter, stands nearly seven inches tall and is one of the most detailed statues I have seen for its price point. It’s not going to take up a ton of space but it will mean a lot to fans of the game this holiday season. - Allen
Baldur's Gate 3 Asterion Shirt
Have I had a chance to play the game yet, no? I am so broke the dollar store seems like fine dining at this point. However, someone very close to me has and it is a no brainer to grab someone important to you merch of something they like. Plastered with the face of everyone’s favorite attractive elf you can grab it right now from Hot Topic and remind someone you pay attention when they tell you the little things. - Allen
Elden Ring: Official Art Book Volume I
Do you or know someone who has fond memories of 2022’s Game of the Year Elden Ring? God, I sure do, which is exactly why you should get yourself a copy of the Elden Ring Official Art Book Volume 1. I bought it myself on a deal a few months ago and much like the game itself, it’s excellent. The first volume contains concept art of The Lands Between and the many dungeons that you’ve died a horrible death in. It’s a stunning, large hardcover art book for collectors and art enthusiasts alike. - Robin
Final Fantasy XIV Online: 60-Day Time Card
You know the old saying, “Time is money”. In the case of Final Fantasy XIV time is literally money, especially with this 60-day subscription card to the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV… well, you know the rest of the copy pasta. This is perfect for someone you know who loves travelling the lands of Eorzea, taking tons of G-Pose pictures, and occasionally having an anxiety attack in a Savage Raid. - Robin
