CD Projekt Red Details 2.1 Update for Cyberpunk 2077
Night City always finds a way to bring you back…
CD Projekt Red took to Twitch on Friday morning to unveil their recently announced “2.1 Update” for Cyberpunk 2077. Coming hot off the tails of their 2.0 Update that launched alongside their Phantom Liberty expansion, the Polish developers are making the most of their recent momentum and popularity.
To make your traversal across the urban sprawl a little easier, CD Projekt Red is adding a metro system that spans Night City and a new highway. Also showcased during the stream were new motorcycles and a new car, with replayable races and gang car chases that trigger when you antagonize them just a little too much. The developers even talked about a new portable radio to listen to the game’s signature soundtrack when you’re not in a vehicle, as well as the ability to call your romance partner and spend time with them outside of missions. Finally, they discussed enhancing several key boss fights throughout the game and brand new accessibility options.
The 2.1 Update drops December 5th alongside the Ultimate Edition of the game. Do you plan on picking up the latest version of Cyberpunk 2077 or are you looking to dive back in? Let us know in the comments below!
